The Young i Professionals have developed a new site for hosting free
on-line tutorials for IBM i. The new Virtual Learning Center will be
going live in the next few weeks. The VLC has been in the works for
months and we are very excited to finally see it come to fruition. This
is one of the largest undertakings we have ever attempted.
So now that the infrastructure is in place, we are making a call to the
community to assist us by sharing their knowledge with others.
The VLC is designed to host tutorial content in many different formats,
including text, web page, wiki, audio, video, Flash/Flex, and more. We
already have a few tutorials ready, but need more. We are looking for
tutorials on any topic related to IBM i. We especially need contributors
in the areas of hardware, operating system, security, and administration
as we currently only have programming tutorials.
If anyone has content that they have done in the past that they would like
to donate, we welcome you to send it to us. If time is an issue, we will
find someone to enter and reformat the content for you.
