thanks Pete. I will call IBM support tomorrow. My blade also has an
annoying habit of coming up in some sort of "discovered" status
frequently when I power on the system. When that happens I have to
start the blade from the white power switch on the front. Hardware
support had me upgrade the firmware the last time I called about it.
Which did not help.

The setting in the IVM is on the "General" tab in the Partition Properties.
