I never use the "show last SQL statement", so I went to OpsNav and checked out a couple things.

You can get to jobs under Basic Operations. Once there, press F11, where you can specify a user or all users, for whose jobs will be included - you get here from the View... menu, as well.

Once you have the job available you are interested in, the "Show last SQL statement" is there.

Nice to know - thanks for making me look more!!

Vern,

I have Visual Explain. I can't use it on our production system because I can't start a database monitor. I have been trying for at least two years to be able to do that. For example, the development or test loan master table contains 50k records but the same production table contains over four million. I think that's enough to alter the way the analyzer might handle the query.

Anyway, the part I can't find is the 'show last SQL statement' option for jobs. I don't appear to have access to work management from iNav. I do see a plan cache under the database but it is empty.

I have to admit, I don't spend much time in iNav. The occasional Visual Explain and that's all.

Visual Explain is not part of work management, it's part of the database stuff - you have to have that component installed, and that might not be there yet. There still might be blockage through App Admin, however.
