If you're doing AFPDS or IPDS you'll need to specify Host Printer Transform
(HPT) in your device description, unless you get an IPDS card or print
server. There used to be concerns about performance impact on the System i
if you did a lot of HPT, but system speeds have increased so much, I'm not
sure that's still a concern.

That should work, it has TCP/IP networking and PCL. Follow the examples for
other HP laser jet printers. You can experiment with the HP model number
until you decide on the best fit for that printer. Are you planning to use
it for straight SCS printer, or will you be doing more advanced printer?

I am looking to purchace a Hp P3015X printer. I  would like to know if this
will work on the iseries.
