Trying to install System i Access for Windows service pack on a windows
based network drive. Reading the following here:

Trying to follow these instructions
1. Open a command prompt window.
2. Change directories to the folder containing the System i Access for
Windows install image. This can be the image on the System i, the
image
on the System i Access for Windows DVD or an image on a local or
network
drive.
3. Run the following command:
SETUP.EXE /a
The installation wizard will start.
4. If your install image has multiple language sources, you will be
prompted
to choose one as your Primary Language.
5. In the Network Location dialog, choose the target directory for your
administrative image and click Install.
Which I translated as:
1. Make a directory, underneath a share on an existing server. In my case
\\GDSNT\tech cd\SystemiAccess
2. Stick in DVD 1 of 2 of System i Access for Windows 6.1 into my pc
3. Cancel out of autorun install.
4. Start, Run, Cmd,
D:
cd \Windows\image32
setup.exe /a
5. Select English from the installation wizard. Watch hard drive go nuts
for several minutes with no prompting or anything appearing. Update
facebook status, read "War and Peace". Try doing a Show Desktop to see if
you're missing something. Check out Applications in Windows Task Manager
and see nothing extra including any wizard or anything. Open pmr with
IBM. Hard drive still going nuts. Start shutting down for evening...
