CPYTOSTMF is meant for either source physical files or "internally"
defined files, aka files with only one column.
CPYTOIMPF is the standard IBM command.
However if you want an option that doesn't seem to change with every
release of the operating system and performs better then I'd stay away
from CPYTOIMPF and roll your own with this:

CPYTOSTMF

I'd like to be able to use CPYTOSTMF to copy a file created by a query but
I get an error message
'Object is not a file or is a file with attributes not
supported by this command. '
is there a way around this?

Table has 3 columns,Name, year, count Âand I need a total of the "count"
field
for each name over a 3 yr period, if there are NOT 3 years available
then no
output row.
Project approved. ÂPlease proceed.
