When using STRDBG, the message no source available appears and it appears to
be trying to find the source in the temporary library that was used for
compilation.

There's an API available to correct the source references in compiled objects (QBNCHGPD, as Bruce mentioned). I know MKS Implementer uses it to update the source references when we compile stuff.

The API is, however, only available for V5R4 and above (I think) ... via PTF SI28759 & SI28744 for V5R4. It's built into 6.1.
