Forgot to mention that I'm usinf the native Windows XP ftp client,
connecting to i5 OS v5.4.
It was the native ftp client timeout, and apparently there is no way to
change it. Fortunately www.ncftp.com has several command line clients
who can set their own timeouts.
It worked, but the command line became quite daunting.

Asunto: FTP remote command timeout
When i'm using the below FTP script, the server always drops the
connection after exactly 60 seconds into the CPYFRMIMPF remote command.
I can't guess where this timeout is coming from.
Whatever it transfers on those 60 seconds is correctly imported.
