A moment of silence for the demise of the IOP and Twinax. OK That was
long enough :-)
I agree with Pete, some pretty amazing stuff. As many of you know I love
hardware and there is some extremely good thinking as well as
implementation in this hardware. There will be the inevitable whining
that GhZ is down a little from POWER6 let not your heart be troubled,
the cool new stuff still allows POWER7 to do more work in less time and
with less power to boot. Check them out!

IBM today announced some really interesting stuff on the new POWER7boxes,
all their features and functionality. I had been in IBM Rochester twoweeks
ago for an IBM i Champions class where all the information was discussed, are
but couldn't discuss any of that until today. These new POWER7 machines
extremely powerful and fast, and if you haven't heard I would check outthe
IBM website for additional information. The amount of CPW these boxeshave
will spin your head.http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=2206093
These boxes will run IBM i 6.1.1 (now) and 7.1 (when it is available).
