Hmm. Never heard of such a thing, but on examination, it doesn't seem especially relevant to the matter at hand, since (as Chuck so rightly pointed out) it doesn't allow the user to select from the list.

Besides, it's entirely possible, at least for one of the applications, that the file whose meta-data we're mining isn't known until the very moment the user hits F4 to ask for the fields, and is in fact specified as a different parameter to the same command.
