Printing from PDF: in the print dialog press Advanced and select Print as
graphic or something like that.

Thanks for the reply. Just got through trying your suggestion. I
created a PDF. It shows the shading. Created the overlay from the PDF.
No shading. Seems like it has to be a setting on the AFP600 printer,
but I just don't see anything.

Mike,

When we create overlays, we take it to a PDF first and then to the
overlay. Sometimes that helps. We use both Word and Excel and this
usually clears up our problems. That way if you can see it in the PDF it
works.

A couple of years ago we created an overlay via Excel. Today the need
came up to make a slight change to the overlay.
I made the change in Excel and recreated my overlay. Now the places on
the form that had a grey shading no longer shade.(ie headings are shaded
to stand out) I cannot find anything on the AFP600 printer definitions
that would appear to change this.

Does anyone have an idea what might cause this?
