Just tried it on VRM530. Worked OK for me but I did have to:

	a) Use a DBCS version of PC5250 (5.7)
	b) Set my job CCSID to something compatible with the CCSID of the  
Graphic data type
	c) Set the IME to my desired input form--I used both Hiragana and  
Wide Latin.

That would seem to be a CCSID problem. See if there are any messages  
in the job log related to CCSID conversion.

Is your Graphic data type simply for DBCS or have you also specified a  
Unicode CCSID for the field? Perhaps DFU doesn't handle the Unicode  
form?
