Correct, the CRTOBJAUD parameter will handle new objects.

Object level auditing works for damn near all objects. It's how many high
availability solutions get stuff replicated to remote machines. Constant
monitoring of both the object audit journal will get most objects
(including queries) and data file journals for individual rows in tables.
