There's nothing wrong with a terminal. Assuming that all you do it
iSeries-based stuff. I think a lot of folks need to do more - I know I do. I
write tons of RPG and CL...and I could do it all with PDM. But the other
stuff that I do requires a PC. I guess I could write Java and VB and C on an
iSeries through a terminal...then download it to a PC...but that seems a bit
tedious.

It really depends on how big your programming world is. RPG/CL for an
iSeries...PDM will do (though client-based tools such as RDi or WDSc are
better). Other stuff takes more than a terminal.
