Are you going through a firewall?? Could be a timeout in there.
Do the systems in question have any registered exit programs for FTP?
(Be sure to include the System i Access ones for FTP under application
administration.)
You are of course targeting the IFS?
I so this ALL the time with no issue whatever to V5R3, R4, V6R1 and
V7R1 systems.
