I realized early on that the learning curve would be huge when all I really want to do is send and receive! (or put and get, or write and read). As I'm just taking baby steps, I didn't want to spend lots of time and then find I was at a dead-end.

I'll go off and research some more based on the advice.

We have an opportunity to make our iSeries insurance application become the hub of a lot of activity, and it's important to show progress in this development.

I wish IBM would understand that to stay connected to the rest of the IT world, that an exfmt to a green screen just doesn't have any relevance to the rest of the industry. To become part of the logical machine which is web services, we have to be open to receiving and giving!
