As a general rule I use:
CLRPFM FILE(myfile)
CPYF FROMFILE(myotherfile) TOFILE(myfile) +
MBROPT(*ADD)
If for some reason (???????????) the CPYF fails, I do not have data left in
the file from a prior run.
Just my way.
