It appears to be working as designed. I found this link (
http://toasters.mathworks.com/toasters/10980.html) which says:


The problem isn't just with the server, it's the client as well. Any
Unix-based NFS client will also operate in a case-sensitive manner, as far
as I know.

There may be some vendor-specific workarounds (server and client).
