we're currently a v7.3.5 sp 0 and i was going to add sp 1 and relevant 
PTFs.  do you know of any issues jumping from 7.3.5 to 7.7?

You can download the ISO images directly from an FTP server, no need
to burn for PTFs. Only recovery media, needed for some cross-release
upgrades need to be burned.

Your best bet right now would be to burn the 7.7 recovery media,
upgrade to 7.7 and then download the 7.7 SP1 ISO directly to your HMC.
