I would check the settings on WRKSHRPOOL and make sure you have the min and
max set correctly for all the pools. I would also check the System value
for min size of *BASE and make sure that isn't so high that it can't move
memory out of the base pool.
I haven't seen any problem going from V5R3 to 6.1, nor on any of my 6.1
systems or customers with memory. Is all your memory reporting in? You
don't have missing memory do you? Funny question, but just asking.

Subject: QPFRADJ issue in V6R1
Hello All:
I¹ve come across a issue with QPFRADJ after upgrading to V6R1. My system
has got the normal pools as well as three shared pools. Before V6R1 upgrade
(when the system was running in V5R3) I could see memory being moved
dynamically based on the load to whatever pool that may be. After V6R1
upgrade I¹m seeing a situation where *base pool is getting allocated maximum
memory and even when other pools are loaded with jobs I don¹t see a change
in other pools (it only sticks to the minimum memory value defined). This
is causing the job that usually run OK to run slow than usual. The QPFRADJ
value is set to 3. I will be generating component reports on the pool next
but would like to hear from the forum if this is a know issue with V6R1
any PTFs available etc?
Many thanks for your help.
