That was the ticket! Thanks everyone who helped me out with this.
This installation routine on the 6.1 windows software is light years better
than 5.4 or earlier! I installed the software without even having to take
down my antivirus (I hate doing that!)

Probably wrong iso... you probably selected XW1

Under 5761 SS1, i5os... System i Access for Windows DVD
There are two of them... 3431MB and 1726MB.
