Jim,

Well, if it's a marketing request, that explains it. What they may actually prefer (who can tell with marketing) is an HTML email, such as the stuff many of us receive from IBM regarding notifications, or marketing from System i Network. This would actually look glitzier than any PDF I have ever seen.

I have not seen the newsletter yet - this is a "marketing" request.
I think they were confused by email samples they had received which most likely
link to web server based pdf's.
It looks like I've got options, and as long as the end result
looks right to them, they should be happy.
Thanks for all the suggestions
Jim Franz

In place of attaching the PDF in the email or converting to HTML, would a
link to the PDF work?
that might be easier to automate.

Another option that came to me was converting the PDF to an image file,
like JPG or TIFF.

I believe that Ghostscript and/or imagemagic can help with that. Bot can
run on the i in the PASE environment.

Some further research indicates I would have to convert the pdf to html,
and Adobe has such a tool.

Probably makes automating this difficult to impossible.

Thanks
