Auth is only required if your SMTP client IP hasn't been cleared for
access. 

Our SMTP/400 and other 3rd party products support Authenticated or
regular SMTP.

You'll need to use SMTP Auth.

ADDSMTPLE *HOSTAUTH

It appears that this isn't supported on V5R4, only on V6R1 and up.

Because apparently recommending people on this to upgrade their OS,
i'll instead recommend you to pay additional money for third party
software to send your mail :)
