That's what I use but you do need to log it when the job starts. I put it in a signon program but I like Scott's (better) idea of using the job notify exit point - that'll catch everything.

If you need to do this in a program, use the QDCRDEVD api - DEVD0600
format has the IP address, if there is one, amongst lots of other stuff.
You can probably find examples in the midrange-l archives or just google
