I have to disagree Rob. Management networks should always be separated
from production networks. With today's VLAN capable switches, this is
easy as pie, almost no work, and a good security best practice.

Of course, it might not be as straightforward if you have other guys
manage the network - we have several customers that built their own
management networks using SOHO components, as this was faster and more
effective than dealing with their network guys.
