One can create an LF over a flat file; even easier if the record contains only a single field. Or are you saying that the DSPFFD indicates a single field, such as F00001?
In the latter case it is more convoluted but still doable. You would need to use the SST keyword to substring the F00001 field into its components and then build the key(s).
