Totally concur. After having a full system restore (aka unload/reload)
take over a week to fix our access paths we always save our access paths
during our saves.
Supported versions of the OS have changed the default on SAVLIB to
Save access paths . . . . . . . *SYSVAL
Reading the help on ACCPTH shows a system value of QSAVACCPTH. Doing a
WRKSYSVAL to *PRINT will show that the default setting for this is 1=Save.

IBM realized that many users were shooting theirselves in the foot by not
bothering to read what the default was and changed the default some
releases ago.
