Doug,

Bad news, you cannot map a drive using Vista or Win7 on IBM OS V5R1 or
older. 

You must be on V5R2 or newer to support the newer Microsoft OS's, there is
no way around this.

No I don't have or want iSeries Access (CA) on this PC.
I'm connecting to my home/personal 400 which is running OS/400 v4r5 (yes
very old).
I have a great Green Screen TN5250 (Mochasoft) and run my personal web site
from it.
Just need access to the IFS to transfer files.  Could use FTP but that would
be a pain.
