Object conversion is not necessary, but i would check
support/compatibility with the 3rd party vendor to be sure that the
software your customer is currently running is supported on V4R4.

For example, we do not support all releases on all operating system
levels, only specific combinations - but that doesn't mean that they
don't work - it means we haven't QA'd that specific combination.
