Was the CL ever converted from OCL? This might be a straight literal conversion of the OCL // FILE statement into CL.

A coworker seems to think that they are remnants of a time before libraries existed. Like when was that?!
The original command would have been perhaps OVRDBF FILE(MYFILE) TOFILE(MY.FILE). Subsequently, the '.' have been taken out.
