We are an IBM i software vendor.

Although the 4 of the 6 product options that make up our CoolSpools suite http://www.ariadnesoftware.co.uk/CoolSpools.htm are chargeable, our *BASE option is a no-cost option and includes ZIPDTA (zip data) and UNZIPDTA (unzip data) commands that provide data compression/decompression of stream files and database files with or without encryption. They are ports of the ZLIB code.

Since *BASE is a no-charge option so these are effectively freeware: you just need to send us your serial number and ask us for a key.

Is there any ZIP (compression) freeware available on the iSeries platform? If
so, can I get some opinions on which ones are the most practical. Thanks!
