Is this where your going to import the certificate using DCM or via
townsends software.

Folks, I need a lot of help.

Yes, it's related to ftp. We send and rcv files from a bank now and
Townsend configured the SSL/DCM piece for us. I'm learning that I need to
configure using openssl and I've printed off the doc but it's all greek to
me and doesn't explain how to convert the cert.

Thanks for your help,

Frank

Is this related to FTP? (You mentioned FTP in this message, though you
entioned PGP in the previous one.) It does sound like you're getting a
ertificate from a bank (previously, you only said "configure
ertificates", and weren't more specific.)
It should be possible to use openssl to convert the certificate from one
ormat to another, if that's the only thing you need help with?

Thanks for the responses folks and we already have an SSL ftp
configured via our 3rd party vendor, Patrick Townsend. The
certificate is an ssl(x.509) certificate. I already downloaded it
from the bank's site and the bank told me it needs to be converted.
Townsend says that IBM has to show me how to convert it and get it on
the AS400.

Do you mean SSL (x.509) certificate? Or are you talking about digital
eys used in PGP? Or something else entirely?
Can you explain the scenario a little more? I know you want a
ertificate, but I don't know who is supposed to sign/provide it, and I
on't know what you plan to do with it.

Hi Folks, I thought my pgp vendor could configure or help me
configure digital certificates on the AS400/Systemi but they can't.
How is that done and what do you recommend for a novice to configure
it on the AS400? I'm working with a bank that says I'm required to
have a digital cert on the AS400 for their transmissions.
Thanks, Frank
