We have a 520, which came in with V5R3 and is now at V5R4. My policy is to install each CUME as it comes out, and any groups which have been updated since the last CUME. I follow the recommendations by doing a full system (21) both before and after the PTFs are applied. We are not a 24x7 shop like you are so I apply the CUME and Groups on a Saturday; I schedule eight [8] hours for the whole thing so it is no trivial matter for a shop like yours.
