We transfer secured and unsecured .zip files all the time via FTP to/from
our IBM i, with no issues.

Any firewalls involved? What is the size of the file in question? How long
is "extremely long?" Is the file OK once it arrives? Does it make a
difference if your system is the client or the server?

Has anyone used FTP to transfer .zip files from the IFS to another
server. I am having a problem with the file transfer taking an
extremely long time to transmit.

Any help would be appreciated.
