Both are new serial number boxes. One was a box swap from a 520 and the
other a 170. In both cases we migrated the allowed IBM SW etc. Again I can
open both HW and SW support calls by phone just fine, Just can IBM to
acknowledge and allow them to place an Service Director/Agent /ECS based
call.

We don't have this problem on our 6-core Power7 720 running partitions at
6.1 & 7.1. Has the machine serial number been the same since your Power6,

from the CE?

I've called on both systems and been told it is a registration issue that
sales needs to handle. Come On IBM, these boxes both have 10-xxxxx serial
numbers ( built in the US ), shipped by IBM directly to the End User. I can
place Phone based HW and SW calls on both machines...

So IBM What's the problem? Anyone else having these issues? I'm the BP and
sure don't control IBM's ECS enablement Database...
