I personally haven't used the GSKit from the IWS client, however I see there is some information on the IBM Integrated Web Services server website describing the use of GSKit from the IWS client:

http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/resources/systems_i_software_iws_pdf_WebServicesClient.pdf

See chapters 5 and 10. You will want to make use of the axiscStubSetSecure() function from within your IWS client application.

Here's an article describing how to secure web services deployed in IWS using HTTPS:

But, the error 'Key database file was not found' typically means that
you haven't created the *SYSTEM certificate store in the DCM (or another
certificate store, if you're not using *SYSTEM...)

Does anybody here have any experience configuring the IWS client and
server to use HTTPS?

Obviously there's some configuring to do, because if I just use
something like "https://foo.bar"; in the client endpoint, I end up with:

And I can't make head or tail of what it says about this in the "IWS Web
Services Client" book. (Not that I can make much sense of ANYTHING in
that book.)
