Hi, William:

What Version/Release of OS/400 or i5/OS are you on?

At V6R1 and above, you can use the new CLOSE command to close a file 
opened implicitly by a RCVF command.

Otherwise, make your CL program an OPM CLP *PGM created with CRTCLPGM, 
and replace the CLOF with RCLRSC LVL(*).
