No, the source provider is not either CVS or SVN - it was developed, 
according to the presentation I heard, by someone in IBM very familiar 
with both those and Clearcase - and came up with a similar and simpler 
mechanism, they say.

I got that information at the Rational Innovate roadshow they had here 
in Mpls, which 3 of us attended.
