I started this upgrade from 5.3 to 6.1 client as a way to get mapping a drive to a share to work . When 6.1 install froze, i unistalled the 5.3, tried again.
6.1 had gotten far enough to stop a new install, but not enough to have the official uninstall work.
Found a ibm doc of the registry needed to clear.
Right now running install from dvd, get "one or more features for ADDLOCAL not found." This is from the setup on the dvd.
Trying to find docs to explain (am NOT a pc person) a silent install & see if that works.

Jim, is your goal to de-install it or reinstall it?? If re-install I would
try a different media.

Install (from dvd) halted in middle, no error msg - just sat for half hour.
Reboot & start over - says can't read version - uninstall.
Product not in Control Panel Add/Remove programs
Is there a pgm I can call on pc to cleanup - IBM site points to a MS
utility, but MS has pulled that.
