Our business partner asked us if we want Websphere installed on the new
system.

Currently the configuration files in question exist on our 170 but not our
520. Our new system is a rack with three partitions.

As far as I know we aren't using Websphere for anything and I think what
was installed on the 170 was done to support webfacing back when it first
came out. We don't do any Webfacing or HATS stuff but Domino does run on
the 170.

Is there any reason why we would want to install Websphere on the new
system? Is it a pre-req for something of which I'm not aware?

The product we received is 5722WE2, features 2101, 5902, and 2924.

I see one of the CD's is labeled Websphere Development Studio Client for
iSeries (it's a DVD), and I'm not sure what this is as I also two disks
labeled Rational Developer for i (V7.5).

Regards, Jerry
