There comes a time when it's "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead". IOW
"failure is not an option". When you do that CEC upgrade be prepared to
take the better part of a weekend. Allow for anything obscure to happen,
up and including having to wait for your local CE's "top gun" to drive in
from 2 hours away. (after he wraps up another job).
It sure is nice to have Mimix and perform regular failovers so that you
know that if your hit you can keep on sailing.
I'd perform full system backups, on all lpars, immediately prior to the
upgrade.
