Ok, I upgraded mine but it does not seem to have fixed the problem. Same result - will not copy or move the files and Windows explorer shuts down.
Anyone have success?

For those of you using 64 bit IBM i Access who have noticed that Drag and Drop doesn't work (i.e. you get the ~drgdrp.tmp file and nothing
else) there are now service packs out to correct this issue. I have loaded the SI41054 service pack on my Windows 7 64 bit machine with IBM i access V7R1 and it works very nicely.
When IBM contacted me to inform me of the service pack they indicated:
"Your submission of a DCR, along with the many others who also did so, helped IBM decide this was an issue that needed to be addressed." So they DO Listen!
The Service Packs are:

For V6R1 SI41053
