Straight 5250. I'm using the session sizes stored in the LastView
section of the .WS and the pcswin.ini files. I've tried setting both to
(almost) no avail.
The weird thing now is that I have four sessions, and two seem to be
working.
I have two .WS files. I use them to launch four sessions from my
startup batch file. The first two are on one .WS and that does NOT
work. The second two are on the other .WS file and they DO work. The
first .WS is significantly different (shorter) than the second, and I've
tried methodically copying parts from the second to the first. I get
some forward movement, and then it seems to revert. Two steps forward,
one step back.
The really odd thing is that at one point, all four sessions showed up
in the same position. Now I've gotten it to where they show up in the
four quadrants of the screen like I want them to, but the first two show
up as 476 pixels high, the second two show up at 526.
Another interesting point is that whenever a session shows up
incorrectly, I merely have to go into the View menu and switch to View /
Select View / Last-Exit View and it works fine.
I haven't been able to get a consistent enough behavior to nail it down,
and I'm hard pressed to find the time to go through the various
combinations one at a time.

How are you setting the "preferred size" and are we talking about 5250
Access or
Web Access ???

The latter, Jack. Specifically I am seeing that I cannot save the
session at my preferred size of 808 x 526. Even though it looks like
its 808 x 526 in the .WS file, the session comes up as 808 x 476 and I
have to drag the bottom down 50 pixels. It's consistent on every session.
