Does anybody know the maximum composite key length for files, in various
OS releases?

QuestView has an internal maximum of 99 bytes of keys considered
"significant" for keyed files, and I'm trying to determine why.

Near as I can tell, that part of the code hasn't changed in over 17 years,
and was probably written for V1 of the OS.
