Starting with EBCDIC ILE C... The EBCDIC control character 0x25 LF [Line Feed] was probably meant. That value should translate to the ASCII control character 0x0A LF [Line Feed]. So perhaps revised to:

<< printf("%c", 0x0d); printf("%c", 0x25) >>
