  Not sure of the logical value in doing that, but...

  Since v6r1:

     create table myZ (Z timestamp)
     ;
     create index myZix on myZ
       ( date(Z) as L DESC )
       rcdfmt myZtoL ADD ALL COLUMNS
     ;
