Hey Rob,
We have the same thing set up on our machines. One interface for users,
and the other for HA traffic. Have it set up on all 3 machines that way.
Do you have info on what could cause this to happen?
What OS is the PTF for?
Thanks

TCPIP lockup on 5706 card.
Hmm, having primary and secondary TCPIP interfaces on the same card is
probably not a good idea. However we weren't doing it for redundancy - we
were doing it for "regular" versus "mimix back door". Card locked up. (I
guess.) Line is active, NETSTAT *IFC is active. Some routes looked open
while others did not. But a ping of 10.10.1.1 (the router) was
unsuccessful. A ping of it's own ip address was successful. I can telnet
to myself. Ended TCP/IP. Tried varying off lines. One stayed at vary
off pending. Tried using SST to power off the 5706 card and proceeded to
lock up SST. SysReq out of that. Can only get so far back in before it
tells me no. Tried to vary the line back on (BIG MISTAKE). Screen is
stuck and can't sysreq out of that.
IBM says I need MF52617. Delayed ptf of course. So, IPL machine (when
screen finally lets me), download ptf, set it to apply, IPL again. Yee
haw! Or burn to CD and load it on via sneakernet before IPL.
