I used a SCNMSGF utility to find the message number, CPF3769. I tried
googling that. That limited me to summary descriptions of CPF message
codes and a hit on tapes from some time ago and the USEOPTBLK parameter. I
don't think they are applicable.

Did you use
ADDIMGCLGE IMGCLG(V7R1) FROMDEV(OPT01)
to load the disc's into the image catalog?
