Roger,
Thanks for this pointer, it works perfectly, including when the system is
in restricted state. My customer is very happy.
I'm continually amazed at "new" things that I pick up about this OS.

I've changed CPF message CPX2313 (for System Request 3) from DSPJOB to WRKJOB. Pretty sure I've used it while in a restricted state.

I suggest not installing software (other than OS) while in restricted
state. Hopefully they were already in there and it wasn't a requirement
from any software vendor you know.

Subject: Second Session While In Restricted State
 Sent by: [7]midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
A customer was installing some software while in restricted state. They
ran into a minor problem that could have been corrected by a simple
 file
rename, but they could not get a second logon session started.
Is there a way, while in restricted state and running from the console,
 to
get to a command line while a job is active on the console?
