Hi,

Did you only try to add a column heading,
i.e. LABEL ON YourSchema/YourTable COLUMN(YourColumn IS 'Whatever Text')?

Or did you also try to add a text,
i.e. LABEL ON YourSchema/YourTable COLUMN(YourColumn TEXT IS 'Whatever
Text')?

May be they cannot see the column heading but the text in their DB Tools. In
this way long comments could be avoided.

BTW I use all, i.e LABEL ON for a short descriptions (Text and Column
Headings) and COMMENT ON if I need a more detailed explanation for the
database object.

Betreff: SQL TABLES: COMMENT vs. LABEL

The windows group has just asked me if I could also generate the same
Field values in the LABEL construct as a COMMENT construct, as they
can't see the LABEL in their DB tools.
Does anyone do both? Pros? Cons?

thanks
